Stephan:   Tonight I witnessed one of the most extraordinary political events of my life. I rank it with John Kennedy's funeral, and the march down Constitution Avenue, and the speech by Martin Luther King, Jr. It wasn't just the speech, as masterful as that was, it was the entire public acknowledgment, the event itself.
