Stephan:   The election has been transformed. Sarah Palin is the Republican counterpart to Obama. Her speech was a statement of culture; clearly this how the Republicans want to cast the election. I think this is going to become a culture war, with the issues pushed aside, unless Obama can provide an immediate counter.
