Stephan: I urge you to read this list, find your Representative, and vote accordingly in the upcoming election.
As you probably know this is not a great bill, but it is the best that could be gotten through a Congress many of whose members are owned by the Illness Profit Industry. I believe what is going to follow will be like Social Security, which was not a great bill when it started, but got improved over time. The same thing will happen with this healthcare bill. The real problem, which this does not address is that it continues the Illness Profit Model of healthcare. Until we put people ahead of profit we will not have true healthcare.
As for the Republicans, I think they have made a colossal miscalculation. If you just think about all the families that will be able to keep their kids on their policies until they are 26, do you think they will want to give that up?
