Stephan: I find it very heartening that corporations and individuals are pushing back in Indiana against the hate law signed by Governor Pence. If the economy of Indiana is severely impacted, as I hope will be the case, then perhaps the Theocratic Rightist hate mongers will slink back into the mire from whence they came and the other states that have passed such laws will take notice. The only thing that is going to stop the hysteria of the Right over people's sexuality is this kind of pushback. The voters of Indiana don't seem to have the morality to vote them out of office.

A new “religious freedom” law in Indiana touched off a firestorm of criticism across the country Friday, after opponents warned that it could lead to legal discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in the state’s business establishments.
The measure, which Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) signed into law Thursday, allows any individual or corporation to cite religious beliefs as a defense when sued by a private party.
