I can’t tell if you lack basic reading comprehension skills, or if you (ironically) are exhibiting “bizarre behavior” that you have assessed the “left” is engaging in.
The entire article makes one single sentence/mention of WWII, that being:
–Trump’s speech provided only the most recent proof that discord between the U.S. and Europe is deeper now than at any time since the end of World War II.–
No ‘comparison’ is being made anywhere, at all, in any way TO WWII; it simply states a level of discord and disagreement in world policy SINCE that time.
You are correct in one sense: a mind is being lost, but I posit it is much closer to home than you are objective enough to come to terms with.
