Staff members across several USDA agencies drafted the multiyear plan that outlines how the department should help agriculture understand, adapt to and minimize the effects of climate change.
Top officials, however, decided not to release the plan and told staff members to keep it for internal use only, the employee told POLITICO. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of retribution.

I am not surprised by this article, and I agree with your comment – the only reason I can figure out that normal people would vote Republican is effective brainwashing and scapegoating. Trump regime denial of climate change is a crime against humanity. One fact that many farm industries, especially corporate mega farms, is that the cattle, pork and dairy industry has a HUGE impact on the environment (as well as a great deal of evidence that a lot of meat consumption is not so good for us either). Between methane production by the animals, deforestation (such as in Brazil) in order to raise cattle, packaging and transportation of meat products, toxic waste by products, and the enormous amount of land devoted to the corn and soybeans that become burgers, it has been estimated that the impact is greater than automobiles.
