In response to the question, “What’s your message to world leaders today?” Thunberg responded as follows:
Greta Thunberg: “My message is that we’ll be watching you.
“This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school, on the other side of the ocean. Yet, you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you? You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words, yet I’m one of the lucky ones.
“People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is the money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you?

What I am enjoying about Greta is that, even having to deal with Aspergers Syndrome, she successfully outshined and out-performed (and out-IQ’d) Trump even tho Trump had orchestrated a “sure-fire” medial blitz private “side conference” of his own that he thought would get more press than anything else that day. HMMMM YIPPEE !!!! I’m dancing. When the subject of “millenials” (usually, all under 40’s get dumped into this category, not sure why) comes up, whether I am discussing with people my own age (71) or middle aged, I am inevitably the only person who actually LIKES “millenials” and gets along with them and has high hopes that they will shun the materialism and grift of our generation and actually life an Earth-Friendly life.
BTW: I was recently scolded by a woman with whom I went to high school for using all capitals because she buys into the current urban fashion that calls it SHOUTING. I call it emphasis that guides Skim-Reader’s eyes to terms I would like them to notice in case they want to go back and actually read my writings… I do Skim-Reading and always appreciate when I am able to get the drift of the paragraph or page by eye-balling significant terms. Then, If I want details, I go back and “read”. LIFE IS SHORT…. LEARN ALL I CAN AS FAST AS I AM ABLE…

I hope Trump gets the message which comes from a child who is 100 times smarter than Trump will ever be or ever was.
Watched this yesterday and posted. My friends reported they’d cried. She came in for this. It is her Soul purpose. She is utterly deeply inspiring and if anyone can get thru some of the darkness it will be Greta who lights the soul fires of others. I sense she’s exhausted but not about to give up.
I remember reading an interview from some global fossil fuel exec where he said ‘Greta scares me.’ He went on to imply that she would probably be the undoing of his company and others like them.
Thrilling to see Greta and other highly intelligent young people moving forward to seize leadership roles that that their “elders” have abdicated. So enthralled by the endless pursuit of money, security and comfort that many are lost to her message, the message that science is now screaming at us.
I have read the comments from president good brain and like minded who dismiss this “mentally ill girl’ as nothing just another media creation. Science is fake no changes but the normal sort. Those scientist that claim climate change are just in it for the money and politicians want to raise my taxes-always it comes to taxes for this crowd. They willing trust science when they go to the doctor or fly but totally reject data about to climate change. The passionate rigidity regarding climate instability and environmental destruction is hard for me to understand.
THERE is the next deserving recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
