Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, the controversial Arizona Democrat who threatens to derail President Biden’s legislative agenda, received more than $750,000 in donations from the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. After that, she announced her opposition to a Democratic plan to lower prescription drug costs.
Sinema told White House officials that she opposes House and Senate bills that would allow Medicare to negotiate drug costs, sources told Politico this week. Democrats estimate these bills would save $450 billion over the next decade and thereby pay for a large portion of President Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending plan. The budget bill would expand child care, health care and paid family leave and would fund programs to combat climate change, among other measures. Three House Democrats have also balked at the plan, although they have offered a “centrist” alternative that would drastically limit which drugs are subject to Medicare negotiation. Sinema reportedly opposes that proposal as well. During her successful 2018 Senate campaign, Sinema repeatedly vowed to lower prescription drug prices and drug costs for seniors.

The concept that two political parties can adequately represent 300 million people is ludicrous on its face. The political system as currently constituted is not a vehicle for the legitimate aspirations of the American people.
Albus Eddie,
One vehicle for the legitimate aspirations of the American people, would be the representatives and lawmakers we ourselves vote in.
Being that Kyrsten Sinema won’t even budge on a “centric alternative” that would drastically reduce which drugs are subject to Medicare negotiation (for seniors) means,
1. KYRSTEN IS FOR SALE!$$$. 2. KRYSTEN IS A LIAR as she repeatedly promised to lower drug costs for the elderly.
My prescriptions went up by 500% just last week even though I am permanently disabled and on PACE, a program Pa. has for those of us on Social Security. At 74, that makes my life a lot more expensive. On top of that someone stole my tax rebate of$300 I was supposed to get even though my name and address was on all the paperwork. Life is getting too expensive for me to continue to live in this country.
P,S,: Also I just lost my best friend, my dog Astro, who died in my arms with his eyes still open after he passed away and I will never get those eyes out of my mind. I just had to bury him and have great remorse at my loss.
Rev. Dean,
So sorry for your loss.
Dear Rev. Dean I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have a big cat family and one dog Zak. I have lost cats over the years and it is heart breaking. I imagine that those without other species in their lives wonder how you can feel so sad but they are family and it hurts.
Your dog Astro was your best friend for maybe a good long time so to hold him while he pasted over must have been so difficult. He was a blessing for you and you for him, love does not die. Perhaps in time another creature will find you as being human can be a lonely job without them.
