Believers in treating COVID-19 with ivermectin have reportedly branched out in terms of their recommended treatments for the virus, which now include inhaling food-grade hydrogen peroxide.
NBC News reporter Ben Collins, who follows multiple pro-ivermectin and anti-vaccine Facebook groups, writes on Twitter that many of these groups have now become “radicalized” and are pushing for even more exotic remedies for COVID-19.
The problem these groups are encountering, writes Collins, is that their followers have quickly learned that ivermectin alone won’t do the trick.
“So,” writes Collins. “They developed a makeshift ‘protocol.’”
And what does this “protocol” entail?
Much of it, notes Collins, seems to be made up on the fly.
“Obviously, keep taking the ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, the ivermectin groups say,” writes Collins. “But also gargle iodine. Buy a nebulizer and inhale food-grade hydrogen peroxide. Anything but the vaccine.”
As the Washington Post reported on Thursday, doctors are warning against treating COVID-19 by inhaling hydrogen peroxide.
“Hydrogen peroxide is an antiseptic more commonly used for minor cuts, burns and scrapes,” the Post noted. “It is also used as a […]
Yes, some of these people are definite nut cases. But please don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. I have been nebulizing a hydrogen peroxide/saline solution for many years. It works to quickly get rid of colds and flus. And it works for Covid also. Just because a remedy doesn’t involve expensive materials, equipment and trained medical professionals, doesn’t mean it isn’t effective. Hospital ERs used to use this protocol for anyone with a severe respiratory infection with good results. However, there is no money in it for a corporate hospital and I believe that’s a big reason why established medical folks disapprove of it. Nebulizing hydrogen peroxide is not swallowing large amounts of it. Hyd. Per. is one molecule of water and one molecule of oxygen (H2O2). It turns to water and oxygen in the body when inhaled.
Why do you seem to always equate any treatment outside of the illness profit industry as some wingnut thing? Big pharma and big medicine always have big expensive answers to illness. Why not utilize less destructive alternatives in early stages of any illness or to maintain good health? Peroxide will not injure you and if it does help it is cheap and there is a body of alternative data that says it is beneficial. It is not the equivalent of taking ivermectin which is after all a pharma product.
I have reached 72 years old without taking any pharma poison and until the J&J vax no injections so I don’t understand the big headline condemning a harmless treatment. If it helps one great, if not move on to something else…

I am, in fact, an advocate for holistic medicine, which I and my family have used for 60 years, and I write a column for Explore, the largest alternative therapies holistic medical journal. So you are completely offbase. What you don’t get, because you obviously rely on disinformation sources, is that SR is about objectively verifiable facts, not theories, partisan politics, and ideological nonsense.
Thanks for the heads up I will find other places to spend my time.
