Stephan: Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it is the only one in American culture not driven by the semi-obligatory need to buy presents, and holiday accoutrements. It is just about getting together with family and friends usually over a lovely meal.
I want to wish all of my America readers a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I give you this request. as you sit around the table, talking about your lives and what is going on in the U.S.. Make this commitment to one another. In the coming year I commit myself in every choice I make, from what I buy, to how I treat others, to how I vote, to always make my choice of the options available to me the one that is the most compassionate, life-affirming, and fostering of wellbeing. And tell each other that next Thanksgiving you will share your choices, and why you made them.

Happy Thanksgiving Stephan & Family!
Thank you for who you are, and what you do. You make a huge difference in many lives, within our beautiful earth.
Stay connected in knowing how truly loved and appreciated you are.
I was wondering why the retail-industrial complex went directly from Halloween to Xmas, hardly even acknowledging Thanksgiving. I slowly realized it’s probably because, as Stephan notes, there’s nothing but food to buy for Thanksgiving. Cooking and eating with friends and family doesn’t have commercial side-dishes.
Thank you for your compassionate, thoughtful intro to SR this Thanksgiving Day. It reminds us to hold ourselves to account in all we choose to do.. and is rich with the promise that bringing meaning to our days might bring..
