COVID-19 has caused an inordinate number of deaths around the world so far, causing life-expectancies to plunge. Historically, countries have recovered from other so-called “mortality shocks,” such as the 1918 flu and two world wars, within one to two years. But the shock of the pandemic is enduring in many places.
A study published Oct. 17 in Nature Human Behavior reviewed life-expectancy trends in 29 countries during 2021, building on previous data the scientists had analyzed from 2020, and found that COVID-19 continued to account for most life-expectancy losses in 2021. But those life-expectancy losses from the pandemic are dissipating in some countries with relatively high rates of vaccination and infection-derived immunity, which both contribute to lower COVID-19 deaths. Four countries in western Europe—Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Sweden—have fully restored their population’s life expectancy back to pre-pandemic levels, and four others have nearly done so, while other countries did not experience additional losses in 2020 compared to 2021. But the U.S. and 11 countries, including many in eastern Europe, continue to record excess mortality.

Stephan, I am glad that you are recovering so well from Covid. I am 80 and got Covid in January, 2020. That was before vaccines, boosters, etc. Though I had what is considered a moderate case, meaning I was not hospitalized, I did develop Long Covid. For me that has primarily manifested as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which is one of the most common maladies of Long Covid. For nearly three years I have been functioning at about 10 to 15 percent of the energy level I had before Covid. This is literally a drag, emotionally as well as physically, and this, too, is considered a moderate case of Long Covid. Countless others are suffering far worse. The suicide rate for this group is steadily increasing.
The medical community seems to be making little progress in dealing with this issue. I am wondering if remote viewing could be applied helpfully to deal with this. Are you and/or others in this field exploring this issue? It may be our last, best hope for relief.

Thank you for your good wishes. I am so sorry you are having such a difficult time. I had a nasty India covid variant but it only ran about three weeks, and that was after I had had all the vaccinations and boosters, — Stephan
Thank you. Countless others are suffering far more serious and ongoing health issues than I have. The medical community is making little progress in this area and I am concerned about the rising suicide rate, as people exhaust their physical, mental, and financial resources with no end in sight. Do you know of any Remote Viewing efforts being made regarding Covid? That may be the last best hope for ending this years-long struggle for millions of people.
SOS.
I am afraid that some day (maybe soon) , another variant or totally new virus will become an even worse physically deviant virus which will not be so easily discovered by science and vaccines will not be so quickly discovered and distributed.
