It turns out, soda not only bloats us and ruins our skin — but it actually makes us gain weight in all the WRONG places. And no, we’re not just talking about our thighs or stomach.
According to a study sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute — people who drink soda gain fat wrapped around their internal organs. Today.com recently reported that people who drank sugary drinks “gained 27 percent more of this so-called visceral fat than people who never or almost never drank them.”

This article is so timely! I was just telling someone at my supper table last night, who was drinking Coke – how awful for the body it was. Now I can show them! I laughed this morning as I saw a lot of the alternative healthy snacks I enjoy, included in the following link.
I wanted to share healthy drinks I enjoy as an alternative.
Vitamin Water Zero. It has zero calories and is sweetened with Stevia. Also in the summer ice tea with honey. Honey metabolizes differently than sugar. Diluted Juice with water. Water with lemon squeezed into it is great and people can always add Stevia, Monks Fruit Extract, or Honey.
Once you give up soda, years and years go by, and you never even miss it – especially when you have great alternatives.
