Stephan: As this election has gone on I have become more and more concerned about the state of American democracy, not just as the federal level, but also at the state level. All in an attempt to block or nullify local efforts. Here is a compendium of examples of what I mean. This is what comes of a society in which profit is the only social priority. Think about that as you are making your choices in voting.
I live in Louisville Ky. I happened to see a small notice buried in a section of this Sunday’s paper: “Some Polling Places Have Been Moved. Residents Should Receive Notice.” There was a list of about 6 locations. Notice the word “Should.” This, a week before the election. Innocent? Incompetent? Intentional? To me it was, at the least, disturbing.
