The frequency and severity of extreme weather events, such as droughts and hurricanes, is being altered by climate change, according to a US government report. Issued by the Climate Change Science Program (CCSP), the report states that the greatest effects of climate change on society and wildlife will be felt in terms of changes in significant weather events.
