The news came out this past week in a report that the number of new HIV infections in New York City was triple that of the national average. This means that the current HIV prevention methods in the city, as well as across the entire U.S., are not doing enough. There are roughly 6 people in the U.S. infected with HIV every single hour. HIV is the virus which is the cause of the AIDS pandemic, and can prove deadly.
