The G 7 Meeting

President Donald Trump said Saturday that his relationships with other Western leaders are perfect, but an acrimonious end to the G7 summit showed how the transatlantic alliance has never been so split.

A fragile show of unity at the meeting in Quebec was blown apart, with the group’s most powerful member, the United States, isolated from the rest of the world’s most industrialized democracies after Trump pulled support for a common communique blaming what he said were “false statements” by Canada’s leader.
