Stephan: After looking the news over the past three days I have decided to focus today's edition of SR on what I see as one of the most dangerous trends in the United States, the insanity of America's obsession with guns. So far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive there have been 40,594 men women and children whose lives were ended by Homicide, Murder, or Unintentional but fatal gun firings. Also 21,846 gun suicide In addition 37,008 gun firing injuries.
No other developed nation in the world comes anywhere close to these numbers. They are so large that fear of gun violence is having an effect on tourism to the United States, and has resulted in the increasingly negative way the U.S. is seen by people in other nations. And the gun violence trend is getting worse each year, year after year.
So today I want to run just a few of the stories I have seen. The Republican Party is to blame for much of this growth in gun violence and death. As a party for years they have routinely supported laws permitting unlicensed, untrained, concealed or open carry of weapons.
Is this really the country we want to live in? One that now has more guns than people, and gun murders so common they are the new normal. Not me

Georgia R-Marjorie Taylor Greene auctioning off an AR -15 and encouraging offense against leftists. This kind of appalling behavior, should be considered a dangerous incitement by a government official, and against the law.
